GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - A retired crane operator is donating the proceeds from his new children's book to charity.
Hilton Nelson says "Bushy Tail One Pond at a Time" is based on a true story.
"I keep feeding the squirrels and stuff outside, and this one came up to the door. He kept on trying to get in," Nelson said. "I said, 'man, I think I’ll write a little story about that guy.'"
Money raised will go to Saint Jude and Helen Devos children's hospitals, Nelson said.
