MI announces almost 2,300 cases of COVID-19

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is confirming 2,291 new cases of COVID-19.

The state is also confirming 189 deaths.

Of those deaths, 117 were found during records checks.

State labs tested 24,230 samples for COVID-19 on Monday and saw a positivity rate of 10.34 percent.

Kent County confirmed 260 cases and four deaths.
