City officials shut down Tent City

City of Grand Rapids officials forced homeless men and women to leave Heartside Park on Monday.

The growing "Tent City" had 100 people living in roughly 50 tents.

Some of the residents have no where to turn, refuse to live in a mission, are scared of getting COVID-19 or prefer to live alone.

At sunset, more than 15 tents were left in the park.
