11,000 Michiganders have died from COVID-19

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced 4,037 cases of COVID-19 and 83 deaths on Wednesday.

The death total is now 11,018 for the state after passing 10,000 just eight days ago.

The state labs tested 53,891 samples on Tuesday and saw a positivity rate of 10.1 percent.

Kent County alone confirmed 300 cases of COVID-19.
