LANSING (WOOD-AM) - Michigan is expecting to receive 257,000 initial coronavirus vaccine doses by the end of this year.
Health officials are expecting 84,000 from Pfizer and 173,000 from Moderna following emergency use approval from the Food and Drug Administration.
Initial doses will go to healthcare workers and those living and working in long-term care facilities.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced yesterday the creation of the Protect Michigan Commission. The bipartisan panel will attempt to encourage Michiganders to get the shot when it's available to them.
