Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun is announcing a vaccination plan for the state of Michigan.
The four phase roll-out of the vaccine will start with group 1A which is health care workers and individuals living in long term care facilities.
Group 1b will include essential workers and critical industry workers.
The third group to receive the vaccine will be 1C which is individuals at high risk for severe illness due to COVID-19.
The last group to be vaccinated is phase 2 which includes the general public ages 18 years and older.
