GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Local doctors say they're not seeing a pandemic baby boom in West Michigan.
John LaGrand is the owner of Advanced OB-GYN in Grand Rapids.
"Everybody expected it because we figured people would have a lot of time with nothing to do, everybody would be home," LaGrand said. "But as we've discovered in the long term, that might not be the best thing for relationships and it certainly hasn’t been the best thing for the birth rate."
LaGrand told WOOD-TV that he's currently seeing roughly half the normal number of pregnant patients at his establishment.
