Online gambling in MI one step closer

The Michigan Legislature's Joint Committee on Administrative Rules got casinos one step closer to online gambling and sports betting on Tuesday.

The committee voted to waive a waiting period to approve state regulations.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board says casinos will likely be able to offer online betting before the end of 2020.

The state has 23 tribal casinos and 3 commercial.
