Grand Rapids Poll Workers Prep for Election Day

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Grand Rapids poll workers took part in a class yesterday to prepare them for next month's election.

"These workers are just going to be working in a precinct, so we go over the whole process: What to expect on Election Day, who's the cast of characters on Election Day, what role will they play," Clerk Joel Hondorp told WOOD-TV.

Hondorp said, this year, up to 500 volunteers will be working at polling places across the city. 75 of them will focus specifically on counting absentee ballots.
