GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Long time reporter and news anchor, Leon Hendrix announced his plans to leave WOOD TV8 Sunday evening after more than 13 years at the station.
Joining the News 8 newsroom in June of 2007 as a weekend overnight associate produce, Leon rose through the ranks to his current role as weekend evening anchor.
WOOD TV8 News Director Dan Boers wrote to News 8 staff highlighting Leon’s recent work on the anchor desk during unrest in Grand Rapids this summer.
