GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A spokesperson for Governor Gretchen Whitmer said there will be a briefing this afternoon at 2:30pm on the state’s response to coronavirus.
The briefing will air on WOOD TV8 and stream live on woodtv.com. WOOD Radio will carry the briefing live on Facebook
Official said Governor Whitmer will be joined by Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist, Michigan’s chief medical executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun and an unnamed business leader who will discuss a “significant investment” to help small businesses.
There has been speculation lately that the governor could discuss whether she will allow any additional businesses, like gyms, to reopen after being closed for nearly six months.
