The Michigan beverage and bottle recycling industry is calling for a change to the way unclaimed bottle return funds are handled.
Workers in the industry say the current law is set up to give 20 percent of the unclaimed deposits to the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy and that it doesn't reinvest in the system.
