A 7-time Emmy and Cable Ace Award winner, Roy Firestone was one of the ESPN original on-air talents that hosted a program called "Up Close" , which was the motivation of this podcast! Roy is multi-talented as a personality, entertainer, musician, author and more, but one of the things that I always admired about his talent on the "Up Close" program was his ability to interview some of the biggest personalities on the planet and get some so interesting and personal stories out of them.
