GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Haven city manager Pat McGinnis told News 8 on Saturday that State of Michigan officials will close the parking lots at Grand Haven State Park on Sunday May 3 due to large and overwhelming crowds. They also noted many people were ignoring physical distancing requirements on Saturday,
Grand Haven State park will however remain open to pedestrians but not vehicles. The parking lot will only be closed for this weekend, McGinnis said.
Park visitors are reminded to practice social distancing by staying at least 6 feet apart.
