LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are working to identify the woman whose body washed up along the shore of Lake Michigan near Bridgman Sunday.
The body was discovered around 12:40 p.m. north of Warren Dunes State Park in Lake Township.
The Berrien County Sheriff's Office says a person taking a walk along the body spotted the remains.
Authorities don’t yet know who the woman is, and it's unclear how she died or how long the body was in the water. An autopsy scheduled for Monday should provide some answers.
