SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — Drivers heading to South Haven Friday, beware: Officials will be temporarily closing theDyckmanBascule Bridge to test the recently repaired structure.
City officials say freezing temperatures and higher water levels took a toll on the drawbridge. They say water seeped into the bridge’s old broken concrete, splitting the conduit protecting its wiring.
