Boy, 16, pulled from backyard pool in Georgetown Twp.

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition after nearly drowning in a backyard pool.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the 4300 block of Port Sheldon Street, between 36th and 48th avenues in Georgetown Township.

Someone found the teen face-down in the pool, not breathing and called authorities. Georgetown Township firefighters pulled the boy from the above-ground pool and began CPR and “advanced life support,” the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said.
