W. MI marks Int'l Women's Day with empowerment events

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — West Michigan will host events focused around strong women Friday, which is also International Women's Day.

Friday night, the judge who presided overLarry Nassar’s sentencingin Ingham County will join a panel discussion at 20 Monroe Live.

Judge Rosemarie Aquilina is the woman of honor for the event. Kent County Judge Sara Smolenski will also take part in the discussion, which will focus on women empowerment.
