HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — Sunday’s mighty winds were not hard to see at the lakeshore.
They attracted a steady stream of onlookers to Holland State Park, where violent waves grew to massive heights before punching up against the lighthouse and smashing the shoreline.
"I was standing and then the wind pushed me away on the ice,” said Reuben Krikke, a kid from Zeeland viewing the waves with his family.
There were several people struggling to keep their balance. Some were pushed forward by the wind as they walked along the beach.
Undeterred, dozens snapped selfies and captured the windy fury with cameras.
