GRPD responds to armed robbery at Family Dollar

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are responding to reports of an armed robbery at a northwest side business.

The Grand Rapids Police Department says the call came in shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday from the Family Dollar store on Leonard Street NW near Seward Avenue.

Officers working to set up a perimeter to try to capture the robbers, Lt. Joseph Trigg said. Police on scene confirmed there are multiple suspects, but did not say precisely how many.

There were no reports of injuries in the initial call, Trigg said.
