PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was killed in a crash on US-131 near 6 Mile Road Saturday morning.
Michigan State Police say a 40-year-old female driver who is from Ohio was traveling southbound on US-131 and lost control of her vehicle just before 6 a.m.
Authorities say the vehicle drove into the median and struck a tree.
A 55-year-old male passenger from Nevada was seriously injured and died on scene.
It is unclear if the driver sustained any injuries.
The crash remains under invesitgation. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
