KOCHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP/WOOD) — Authorities are looking for the man who shot a police officer during a traffic stop in mid-Michigan then drove off in a stolen company vehicle.

Michigan State Police say 29-year-old Joshua Michael Rosebush should be considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen driving a stolen 2013 Ford Super Duty pickup truck for AIS Construction Equipment, which carried the Michigan license plate of DB 60703.

Saginaw Township police Chief Don Pussehl says a Saginaw Township officer stopped the suspect about 2 a.m. Tuesday in Saginaw County's Kochville Township and the driver shot him in the face and shoulder as he approached the vehicle. MLive.com reports Pussehl says the officer radioed for help after the shooting and was in stable condition.
