LOWELL, Mich. (WOOD) — The all-clear has been given after an anonymous threat of violence sparked an evacuation at Lowell Middle School Friday morning.
Lowell Area Schools posted the update around 10:15 a.m. on Facebook, saying that Lowell police, the Kent County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State Police had searched the building and it was safe for students to return.
The initial evacuation was announced on the district's Facebook page earlier Friday morning, saying everyone inside the building was sent to Cherry Creek Elementary “for the safety of our students and staff.”
