SHERMAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Investigators in Mason County are crediting a vehicle’s crash notification system for alerting them to a New Year’s Eve crash that seriously injured two men.
Mason County Sheriff’s Deputies say the 2012 Ford F-150 pickup truck reported the driver was unconscious and the passenger was pinned in the vehicle following the crash, which happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Area firefighters, Life EMS and Michigan State Police helped deputies at the scene on Custer Road near Millerton Road in Sherman Township, about 15 miles northeast of Ludington.
