BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Battle Creek police officers are investigating the death of a man whose body was found inside a burning home on New Year's Day.
Emergency responders were called to a fire in the 200 block of Graves Street south of Parkway Drive in Battle Creek around 12:47 a.m. Tuesday. After putting out the fire, they discovered the man's body, according to the Battle Creek Police Department.
Authorities say they are treating the case as a possible homicide.
Officers will not release further information about the victim until family members are notified.
