WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Wyoming detectives are urging online classified ad shoppers to be cautious, after two robberies in a week.
Police believe the Dec. 20 crime in the 2400 block of S. Division Avenue and the Dec. 27 robbery in the 1900 block of Godfrey Avenue are related. Both incidents happened in the afternoon.
In the first case, the victim met a woman who had posted an item for sale. While talking with her, the victim was approached from behind by a group of suspects and robbed at gunpoint.
A week later, a would-be buyer met a woman about an item posted online. Police say the woman pulled out a guyn and demanded the victim’s money.
