KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — This was the fourth year in a row Samuel VerHage collected blankets to give to people experiencing homelessness in Kalamazoo.
He always gives out the blankets for free the day after Thanksgiving.
This year, he distributed them in Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park. The idea came to Samuel during the annual Jesus Loves Kalamazoo event.
