GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Grand Rapids teacher is back in class after being investigated for allegedly choking a student.
Kent Hills Elementary teacher Robert Spaeth was on paid leave during the investigation, but Grand Rapids Public Schools and the Kent County Prosecutor's Office decided that the allegations were unsubstantiated.
A district spokesperson said Monday there was not enough evidence to support the allegation, despite a similar allegation against Spaeth from last year. GRPS declined to comment further.
"It's a lot of anger, a lot of anger. A lot of frustration," the boy's mom Passionelle McBride told 24 Hour News 8 after learning of the decision.
