LEONIDAS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are investigating after a man died in a house fire north of Colon Saturday night.
The fire started around 10 p.m. at a house in the 31000 block of Depot Street east of Fulton Road in St. Joseph County's Leonidas Township. By the time crews arrived, the main living area was already engulfed in flames.
Authorities say after the fire was extinguished and firefighters were able to safely enter the home, a man was found inside who had died as a result of the fire.
