GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Jason Thomas Knickerbocker, renowned chef at the New Holland Knickerbocker, passed away yesterday at the age of 48.
Knickerbocker was born and raised in Grand Rapids and began cooking at Grand Rapids Community College.
As a young man, Knickerbocker worked in New York and Seattle as a chef, building his skills.
