GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — While many kids rank Halloween as the best night of the year, it comes with some extra challenges for some special kids.
"This is probably one of the first times kids are asked to be whatever they want to be, do whatever they want to do, pick whatever they want to pick," explained Jane Weatherford of the Mary Free Bed Guild.
That’s where the Halloween Heroes program comes in.
Owens Ames Kimball Construction professionals, engineering students from Grand Valley State University and a lot of volunteers are working together to create unforgettable Halloween costumes for more than two dozen kids who are equally unforgettable.
"We have a child who's a bathtub, we have Moana, we have a green Lamborghini," said Weatherford.Packaged costumes and even Pinterest parents can't compete with what's going down at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids.

"There's no limit. Whatever these kids want to be, we will create and we'll find a way to do it," said Weatherford.
