NEWAYGO, Mich. (WOOD) — With the election just 22 days away, U.S. Rep. Bill Huizenga debated his challenger Dr. Rob Davidson Monday night in Newaygo.
The two spent 90 minutes taking written questions from audience at Newaygo High School.
It was one of only two times Huizenga, a Republican, and Davidson, a Democrat, will meet face-to-face in the race for the 2nd District seat.
Huizenga is seeking his fifth term in the U.S. House of Representatives and serves on its financial services committee. Davidson is an emergency room doctor and a political newcomer. His main focus, not surprisingly, is health care and drawing distinctions between himself and Huizenga.
