POKAGON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Dowagiac man crashed and died Monday after refusing to stop for a police officer, authorities say.
It happened shortly before 3 p.m. near the intersection of M-51 and Pokagon Street in Pokagon Township.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office says a Dowagiac police officer had tried to pull the motorcyclist over in the area of Spruce and Paul streets, but the motorcyclist just sped up. The officer didn't chase him.
