PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was killed in a single car crash Saturday morning in Kent County.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Department says it happened around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Belmont Avenue NE and Van Dam Drive NE in Plainfield Township north of Belmont.
Authorities say 57-year-old Daniel Smith of Belmont was driving north on Belmont Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle, left the road and crashed into a tree.
