KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — The driver took off Wednesday after hitting a Kalamazoo police cruiser and injuring an officer, the department said.
It happened around 5:20 p.m. in the area of Maple and Burdick streets. The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said officers were trying to arrest the suspect, a 19-year-old from Kalamazoo, because he had been driving on a suspended license and had taken off from officers Tuesday night.
