PAW PAW, Mich. (WOOD) — A Paw Paw-area woman was charged with murder Wednesday in connection to the death of her 3-year-old stepchild.
Emergency responders were called to a home in Almena Township Tuesday on a report of a 3-year-old not breathing, Michigan State Police said. Investigators spent hours at the home following the child's death.
Authorities say the child, whose name was not released Wednesday, was with 31-year-old Kate George when she was found to be unresponsive.
