GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Schuette will announce his running mate Wednesday morning in Grand Rapids.
Political reporter Tim Skubick from WOOD TV8's Lansing sister station WLNS is reporting that Lisa Posthumus Lyons, formerly a state representative and currently the Kent County clerk, will be Schuette's choice.
Last week, Schuette revealed that he would pick a woman as his running mate, but he wouldn't tell reporters her name.
