GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — It's been a year since the Wolverine Worldwide PFAS crisis first came to light in Kent County, which has left residents with lots of questions about cancer and other illnesses.
At 1 p.m. Tuesday, health officials plan to provide some answers during a roundtable, which will be livestreamed on woodtv.com.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the Kent County Health Department are holding the meeting to release results of a long-awaited cancer study. They're expected to say whether they've found any clusters tied to the likely carcinogen that spread from landfills tied to Wolverine's former tannery in Rockford.
