HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — JR Automation is investing $4 million to expand in Holland, creating 100 jobs.
JR Automation makes automated manufacturing machines and has 2,000 employees on three continents. Holland, where the company is based, was up against a site in Tennessee for the expansion. The investment will pay to upgrade several facilities in the Holland area.
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation, with provided an $800,000 grant to encourage the local expansion, announced JR's move Wednesday. The Holland Board of Public Works is also providing JR with a three-year economic development incentive rider to cut electrical costs.
