GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce is offering a crash course in everything Grand Rapids this fall.
The six-week course is called "Inside Grand Rapids."
One of its participants will be Mindy Alexander. She's a boomerang: She left Grand Rapids in 1989 after she graduated from high school.
"Denver, Chicago, Nashville, Steamboat Springs. I've lived lots of other places," she said.
She's been back in West Michigan for a year and is ready to dive back into her hometown.
Boomerangs like Alexander, as well as professionals moving to the city for the first time, are exactly the type of people the Grand Rapids Chamber is hoping to attract with its Inside Grand Rapids program.
