PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The West Michigan Whitecaps celebrated several birthdays before Tuesday's game against the Lansing Lugnuts, but no one was older than World War II veteran Lloyd VanHorn, who threw the first pitch, and his twin sister.
Lloyd Van Horn and his sister Lois are 100 years old. They are in a rare company: They are among only 20 sets of documented twins older than 100 in the world.
“I’m so grateful to have a life like this,” Lloyd VanHorn said. “I am honored to be in a full house tonight. I’m very lucky to be here in front of all these people.”
