The Camp Bowie Animal Clinic, in Fort Worth, Texas, is under investigation after a client was informed by a veterinarian technician that their dog (pictured) was still alive, even after the family was informed the dog had been euthanized.

The dog's owners described finding out their beloved pet was still alive six months later, "was like getting punched in the stomach and then some," said dog-owner Marian Harris, "This has rocked out world. My kids are like, 'How does somebody do this?' How does this happen?"

The dog is reported as home and being cared for under another veterinarian.
