Deputies believe that alcohol and speed were factor in an early morning crash in Cascade Township that has left two people hospitalized.
Around 3 AM this morning, deputies with the Kent County Sheriff’s Office were sent to eastbound 28th Street SE near Old 28th Street SE for a crash, there they learned that a vehicle driven by a 39-year-old woman hit a curve, a tree and then a divider before coming to a stop.
She and the 20-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and the crash remains under investigation.
