BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — All Battle Creek city water customers are under a boil water advisory after a contractor hit a major water, city officials say.
A 30-inch main near the Verona Pumping Station was hit Tuesday morning. Officials said they had the main shut off by 11:40 a.m.
Officials say damage from the incident caused a drop in water pressure, which could allow bacteria to enter the water system. Additionally, some customers may have no water service because the city shut down a portion of the water system for repairs.
