Over $100 already approved in FEMA disaster funding for MI

The Federal Emergency Management Agency says over $105 million has already been approved for Michigan after storms last August.

President Biden signed a disaster declaration for Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, Kent, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland and Wayne counties.

Around 80 percent of the funding is expected to be used for temporary housing or home repairs.

Applications for assistance are due by April 8.
