A new program will notify Kent County property owners when someone registers a deed under their name.
Fraud Notify is a free program that was designed to catch mortgage and property fraud, as well as identity theft.
Property owners can register their name or business name to receive an email every time a news document is registered with the Register of Deeds.
Then, individuals can check to make sure the document is legitimate or they can notify authorities.
