Judge stops Muskegon woman's organ donation

A Muskegon County judge is ruling in favor a family that argued a Muskegon woman did not want her organs to be donated.

The family's attorney argued a recent statement from Jaszmine Phillips overrode the donor designation that was on her driver's license.

A lawyer for Gift of Life Michigan argued the family was trying to counteract Phillips' wishes.

Phillips was pronounced brain dead on February 16, two days after she went to Trinity Health Muskegon with a bad headache.
