New design rolling out for MI IDs, driver's licenses

The Michigan Secretary of State is issuing driver's licenses and identification cards with a new design that will deter counterfeiting.

The designs began to roll out on January 24 and now include engraved data, laser perforations and touchable indentations.

The person's name will now be put on two lines to accommodate individuals with loner names.

The background of the license will feature a tri-color Michigan state Coat of Arms.
