The Grand Rapids City Commission will consider seven candidates for an empty Third Ward commissioner position.
The city will interview the candidates during a special meeting on February 20.
The candidates include:
- Al Willis, a contractor
- Barbara Snell, a healthcare paraprofessional for Godfrey-Lee Public Schools
- John Krajewski, a public school administrator for Hopkins Public Schools
- Marshall Kilgore, West MI Environmental Action Council Director of Engagement
- Reginald Howard, peer support specialist and veteran
- Bing Goei, CEO of Eastern Floral
- Catherine Conklin, realtor
The Committee on Appointments will recommend three candidates to the whole commission for a public session interview.
