The Kent District Library says it will invest its $250,000 prize winnings back into the community.
The system won the 2023 Jerry Kline Community Impact Prize.
KDL says the funding split into two different causes.
The library will use $50,000 to create a scholarship fund.
The remaining $200,000 will be split into $50,000 each for capital projects at the Rockford, Grattan Township, Tyrone Township and Walker branches.
